Hunter Buchanan is a Charlotte-based documentary director and commercial cinematographer with over a decade of experience across 30+ countries. Rooted in humanitarian filmmaking, his work blends cinematic storytelling with emotional honesty.

He’s partnered with organizations like Compassion International, Samaritan’s Purse, and World Vision, creating films that have raised over $1.4 million for individual nonprofit causes. As a DP, he’s shot commercial projects for Harley-Davidson, Captain Morgan, Burn Bootcamp, Dirt Devil, JCPenney, and the NFL, with featured work premiering at Harley-Davidson’s Homecoming event.

Hunter is currently developing multiple feature documentaries, including one exploring motorcycles and mental health.
